David Su / R.Kin, B.Sc

David Su R.Kin, B.Sc

David has attained his Kinesiology and Physical Education Degree at the University of Toronto. During his time there, he completed time as the field therapist for the Varsity Clinic where he saw to the needs of high performance athletes from first aid and bandaging to massage therapy and injury rehabilitation. 

He has also obtained licensing as a Registered Kinesiologist and a coaching certification for multi-sport competition.

 

After his undergrad, David has worked as an active rehab and a coach for the past few years, leading to his understanding and exposure of various cases. His experiences has made him well-rounded in his ability to create individualized treatment programs for his clients. David’s knowledge and experience specializes him in active rehabilitation, high performance training, manual therapy, and motivational coaching. His interest in motor control and body mechanics in rehabilitation has been a main driver to his pro-active research into the field of rehabilitation.

 

One of David’s greatest strengths is his altruistic mindset, as he will only feel satisfied after your recovery. David takes joy in seeing progress and the return to work/activities of his clients, making him the ideal healthcare professional.

Eric Choi / R.Ac

Eric (Hyunwoo) Choi R.Ac

Born and raised in South Korea, Eric (Hyunwoo) Choi draws on his background as a competitive athlete and personal experiences with injury rehabilitation to provide the best possible care for his patients.

 

Eric's impressive athletic background includes being a ranked national level competitive 100m sprinter, as well as a multi-time provincial gold medalist. 

He has trained and competed in various sports such as Tennis(The Winner Of Stanley Park Open 2022), Golf, Track and Field, and Basketball.

 

From his experiences as a competitive athlete, he has always been passionate about optimizing human performance and preventing injuries. Through his own journey of battling major injuries, Eric has learned firsthand the effort required to diligently rehabilitate through injuries.

 

Eric is a registered acupuncturist who graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine in Burnaby, BC. He specializes in a range of treatments, including acupuncture, Tuina, acupressure, gua-sha, cupping therapy, and sports massage. He utilizes his diverse background in sports training and TCM knowledge to help his patients optimize the recovery process, prevent future injuries, and achieve their goals.

 

Beyond sports injuries, Eric is also committed to providing holistic care that addresses the overall balance of his patients' bodies and mental wellbeing. He strives to help his patients achieve general pain relief and mental relaxation through his treatments.

 

Outside of work, Eric maintains his own fitness by running 3km every day at Empire field. 

Eva Lau / RMT

Eva Lau RMT, BFA

Eva is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Langara College RMT Program. Prior to the RMT program, Eva completed her Bachelor of Fine arts from the University of British Columbia, where she developed her interest in human body and anatomy. Since every body is unique, Eva understands the importance of listening to her patients and focusing on their needs. Eva’s treatment consists of health history interview, physical assessment, hands-on treatment as well as home-care exercise and modification of daily activities. She incorporates a wide range of treatment modalities such as myofascial release, trigger point release, muscle energy technique, nerve flossing, joint mobilization, PNF stretch and Swedish technique. Eva is passionate about designing personalized treatment plans for her patients as to help them achieving their specific health goals and needs, and improving their quality of daily lives.

 

Outside of the clinic, Eva enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves jogging, hiking, swimming, traveling and trying out new restaurants.

 

Besides English, Eva also speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.

Dr. Fannie Chang / DTCM, R.Ac

Dr. Ling (Fannie) Chang DTCM, R,Ac

Fannie is a CTCMA-registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Taiwan. She completed her acupuncture apprenticeship at the Taiwan Acupuncture-Moxibustion Society of Taipei in Taiwan and continued to study Chinese medicine at Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. During the years of studies, she got to follow and learn from great doctors with different specialties.
 

She is experienced in utilizing a wide variety of treatment modalities to help her patients, including acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, and Gua Sha.

 

She treats a variety of conditions but not limited to pain management, digestive issues, sleeping disorders, menstruation problems, etc.
 

She speaks fluently in English, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Cantonese.

Ann Ahan / R.Ac

Youn Jung (Anne) Ahan R,Ac

Anne Ahn is a Registered Acupuncturist who graduated from PCU College of Holistic Medicine in Burnaby, BC. She is currently pursuing advanced studies, Doctoral program, at Tzu Chi International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Anne's personal journey into Traditional Chinese Medicine began when she faced various pains, Western medicine could not diagnose or treat. Despite seeking help from multiple hospitals, the cause of her discomfort remained elusive. However, her experience with a TCM doctor brought her the relief and healing she sought. Inspired by her own transformation, Anne committed herself to the path of Traditional Chinese Medicine aiming to support others who may not find adequate solutions through Western medicine alone.

Anne firmly believes in the power of Traditional Chinese Medicine to address a wide range of conditions. She combines her expertise in Acupuncture, Cupping Therapy, Guasha, Auricular Therapy, Acupressure, Tuina, Moxibustion and Food therapy to treat illnesses. Anne offers personalized treatments to promote holistic well-being.

Outside of her practice, Anne finds joy in staying active by walking trails and indulging in her love for reading and writing books. She is also a writer, who has published two books in Korea.

Sejin (Rachel) Park RMT

Sejin(Rachel) is a passionate and dedicated Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) committed to helping clients achieve optimal health and wellness through the power of therapeutic touch. She is passionate about helping individuals find relief from often-debilitating symptoms of TMJ(Temporomandibular joint) disorders. 

With a fitness background and 2 years of experience in the field, she has honed her skills and developed a deep understanding of the human body, enabling her to provide effective and personalized massage therapy treatments.

 

She believes in a holistic approach to healing, addressing not only the physical aspects but also the emotional and mental well-being of the clients. Every session is tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual. Whether you seek relaxation, pain relief, or improved mobility, she is committed to helping you achieve your desired outcomes.

 

Outside of her professional life, she enjoys hiking, playing piano, and performing in the music band and believes in the importance of a balanced lifestyle.

Tyrina is currently a student in the massage therapy program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) and is on track to become a registered massage therapist. Her primary focus is on relaxation and improving general well-being. Her approach combines various bodywork modalities, including Swedish massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, and joint mobilization, to address a wide range of physical and emotional concerns. 

 

She is excited to help individuals achieve their short-term and long-term holistic goals. With a background in weight training and previous work experience as a front desk receptionist at a multidisciplinary clinic, Tyrina brings a versatile approach dedicated to providing care specific to the patients unique needs.

Dr. Misako Uchida ND

Dr. Misako Uchida, ND, offers a unique blend of expertise as a naturopathic physician, drawing from her diverse academic background and professional experiences. With degrees in Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Toronto, she initially pursued a successful career as a Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada for several years and a financial analyst in Japan for over 20 yrs. However, Dr. Uchida's personal health journey led her to reevaluate her career path and explore alternative approaches to wellness.

Despite her flourishing career in finance, Dr. Uchida experienced her own health challenges and sought deeper understanding and solutions. Motivated by a desire to enhance her well-being and that of others, she made the bold decision to resign from her position, return her accounting license, and relocate to Canada to pursue naturopathic medicine. After completing prerequisites to meet admission requirements, she devoted five years to studying at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she honed her skills and passion for holistic healing.

Today, Dr. Uchida is committed to assisting patients in achieving optimal health and wellness. She believes in addressing the root causes of health issues and empowering individuals to take control of their well-being. With a focus on balancing the autonomic nervous system, Dr. Uchida specializes in managing a wide range of health concerns, including acute and chronic pain, chronic toxicities and infections, digestive issues, and autoimmune conditions.

In her practice, Dr. Uchida utilizes a comprehensive approach that integrates various modalities of naturopathic medicine.
